ALOX4 founder Anders Green was published in **The Distributor's Link, Fall 2026 (Vol. 49, No. 4)** with his article, **“TRON's Defeat: Rise of the MCP.”**

What can a 1982 science-fiction classic teach fastener distributors and manufacturers about today's AI connections? Anders uses TRON's Master Control Program as a lighthearted way to introduce the modern Model Context Protocol—and explain why the new MCP could matter to businesses connecting AI tools with ERP, MRP, and other operational systems.

The article breaks the concept down in plain language: MCP can act as a flexible bridge that tells compatible AI applications what information and approved actions a connected system makes available. It does not eliminate the need for implementation, permissions, security, or oversight, but it may make integrations more reusable and easier to extend.
