These powerful tools are used in place of the outdated "class" concept. An unlimited multi-level hierarchy of tags can be built, and applied to various aspects of your data, like items, customers, vendors, ledger entries, etcetera. Other features, such as custom pricing, are then triggered by these tags.
Lists are built by user-specified conditions, for example:
- Customers who spent X
- Customers who bought at X branch within Y days
- Items priced over X
- Items ordered during date range from X to Y and these conditions can be combined, say, "customers that spent more than $500 at the Detroit branch in the last 45 days".
Once these selections are built, further operations can be performed on them, whether that's applying tags for special pricing rules, sending SMS messages, sending email, applying finance charges, managing collections, etcetera.
