About From its roots in Houston in 1970, the World of Concrete expo has been growing for decades. From 71 exhibitors then to over 1,500 exhibitors in recent years, World of Concrete has become the mecca for innovation and new products for the commercial construction industry. It remains a center for technical education and certification programs for the industry.
The first ten years remained in Texas, followed by another decade of varied locations before settling in Las Vegas. New Orleans, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Dallas all briefly hosted the convention.
By 1980, attendee count had crossed the 10,000 mark, with recent record attendance climbing over 60,000 visitors.
