About Furnaces North America
Founded in 1995, Furnaces North America (FNA) is a biennial trade show and technical conference dedicated exclusively to heat treating and thermal processing. The event brings commercial heat treaters, in-house manufacturing operations, engineers, executives, furnace operators, and equipment suppliers together for technical education, product demonstrations, and industry networking. The 2026 gathering will be the 17th FNA and is expected to feature more than 150 exhibitors and 35 technical sessions. (FNA, MTI)
FNA is produced by the Metal Treating Institute (MTI), the heat-treating trade association established in 1933 to represent the business interests of commercial heat treaters. MTI CEO Tom Morrison serves as FNA’s show producer, supported by the institute’s events and member-services team. Heat Treat Today is the event’s official media partner. (MTI history)
Organizations represented at FNA span the entire heat-treatment ecosystem—from furnace, combustion, vacuum, atmosphere-gas, automation, process-control, testing, materials, and quenching suppliers to commercial heat treaters and manufacturers operating captive heat-treating departments. Recent and announced participants include SECO/WARWICK, Linde, Wisconsin Oven, Nitrex, Ipsen, ECM USA, Honeywell Thermal Solutions, Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems, Quaker Houghton, Watlow, Quintus Technologies, and many other specialist companies and technical organizations.
